Reading

Five Minute Writing Challenge

Students listen to a passage Miss Adrienne read out loud in class, listening for specific details so they could illustrate what they heard. Students encouraged to use creativity while strengthening their listening and comprehension skills. 

Reading passage from "Go Outside and Play!"

Class Reading 

• Reviewed last weeks reading and discussed out loud. 
• Read "Can We Get a Pet?" and "My Dragon and I"
• Discussed material read aloud as class. 

Writing 

Short sentences written describing the material read aloud in class. 

1. What was one pet she asked for in "Can We Get a Pet?"?

2. What pet would you like to get?

3. What was one thing the dragon and their best friend like doing? 

4. Who is your best friend?
