Spelling Challenge

"Scrabblegrams"

Students use Bananagram tiles to play a free-formed Scrabble game using all of their vocabulary words. 

Reading

Five Minute Reading Challenge - Visualize Reading: "Fruits and Veggies"

Students are read a descriptive paragraph by the instructor. Students are to listen to the reading, think about the details, and then draw a picture of what they heard. Activity increases students listening, comprehension, and visualization skills. 

Class Reading

Students selected a new book to read in class this week. Class read book aloud and discussed in class together.
